Wrestling - Entertainment Or Violence?

The recent attacks on the professional wrestling's most feared personality, 'The Undertaker' has just added to the fears expressed by the fans of this sport as to its safety. The Undertaker was feared dead after he was attacked by unknown persons; and as I write this article, it is still not very clear the extent of his injuries and when he is likely to recover from them.

But who attacked the Undertaker and why?
It is no longer a secret that there are some wrestlers out there who want to win a fight or become champions by hook or by crook. These persons would go to any length to get opponents out of their way to enable them achieve their ambitions. They are weaklings: The strong do not achieve their dreams through dishonest means.

The beauty of the game of wrestling is not in violence, but in the use of skills and smartness to win a fight convincingly to the admiration of the spectators. The use of skills, agility and physical strength made this sport very attractive when such personalities like mighty Igor, Power Uti, Buddy Ross, The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Sergeant Slaughter, Big Bossman, Mil Mascaras, etc. where in the scene.

The free use of weaponry nowadays makes one to wonder if what we now see is entertainment and friendship, or hatred and anger. Those who have one form of anger or grudge now have a way of expressing it through the use of potentially harmful instruments. This has led to many of our wrestlers suffering several injuries, bodily harm or mutilation in the hands of their challengers. People like Shaun Michael, Triple H, Rey Mysterio, Mark Henry, Baptista, Bobby, John Cena, etc have been sent to the hospital at one time or the other, as a result of the unrestricted use of dangerous weapons in the rings.

If this trend is not checked, very soon our best hands in this game would all be injured and knocked out of the industry by the cowards, who are desperate to get to the pinnacle of success without hard work and self-improvement. These violent ones should realize that there is respect in self-control, and in getting whatever you want through an honorable way, rather than resorting to cheating, maiming and destroying their opponents. They should also remember that their opponents are family men on whom a lot of people depend for their survival.

Wrestling is a beautiful game; adding decency and rules to it, would make it even more enjoyable to the millions of fans world wide. Violence should be completely condemned if the popularity the sport enjoys is to be sustained.

Fight In The Streets - A Game Review

For a fun and action packed game, this game has all the original 25 characters from the original Games, all of which are unlocked at the beginning of the game. Ten new characters include T. Hawk and Dee Jay. Adon, Cody, and Guy from Final Fight, and also Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto return from previous Games and can be enjoyed again on this new version. Another new character is Juri, a young South Korean female Taekwondo fighter, who has energy boosting devices implanted inside her eye called the Feng Shui Engine. This gives her time traveling abilities. Another new character named Hakan is a Turkish oil wrestler and has a mission to prove that his craft is the greatest ever to have been experienced on earth.

All returning characters from the original game have an additional new third fighting costume, and new characters have two fighting suits. If you want more costumes, you can download them through a costume pack bundle which allowed for Super Shoryuken Packs for Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Gouken and Dan, and then a Super Femme Fatale Pack for Chun-Li, Cammy, Sakura, C. Viper, and Rose.

The game allows for various and additional online modes, where you can enjoy Team Battle with up to eight players. Also, the Replay Channel allows you and other players to save all your most exciting and thrilling replays and then share them all over the world to be viewed over and over again. There is another feature called Endless Battle, where the winner plays against a group of eight players that rotate endlessly. If you love adventure, this game will please you with the return of its car and barrels bonus stages that were previously seen in Final Fight and Street Fighter II, as well as rival battles where dialogue sequences are played when a certain pair of characters face one another.

Myanmar has a tradition of kickboxing that's said to date back to the Bagan era, although the oldest written references are found in chronicles of warfare between Myanmar and Thailand during the 15th and 16th centuries. Myanmar kickboxing (Myanma Let-hwei) is very similar in style to Siamese kickboxing or Muay Thai. The martial art's status has raised perceptibly and nowadays occasional championship matches are also occasionally held at Aung San Stadium and Thuwanna Indoor Stadium in Yangon. Rules & Regulations Anything goes in the ring. All surfaces of the body are considered fair targets and any part of the body except the head may be used to strike an opponent. Common blows include high kicks to the neck, elbow thrusts to the face and head, knee hooks to the ribs and low crescent kicks to the calf. My 8yr old wanted this so badly for Xmas this year. Took a little skill to assemble correctly, but I like that it fairly easily comes apart for transportation (Bringing home from out of town Xmas) and he has a great time playing with it. Really likes all the features!!

Little pricey, but what isn't these days? Also, I could not find it in any stores!! Thanks Amazon for hooking me up with a fairly decent deal right after Thanksgiving!! Better prices than now! Happy New Year!

If you have patience you will enjoy this toy. You need two people to put it togeather. One to hold the peaces that are on and one to put on the next peice. It comes with four laders. Two are the kind that if you touch a button it will go off balance and tip over, Another is you put the feet in the loops and pull down on the lever lthe wrestler will climb up the lader. The last one is that there is a thing that you flip at the top. The laders are as tall as the superstars. It comes with two superstars Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin. In the brief case there is a plasic sheet that has the word contract on it. It also has two thick green pieces of plastic with the dollor sighn on it.
